In addition to the technical expertise our staff brings to the engineering design, fabrication and field deployment of acoustic devices in marine environments, our facilities boast matching credentials.  SSI has over 5000 square feet of lab space to accommodate our rapid prototype development and testing. 

Our headquarters are located in Nashua, NH at the Boire Airfield.  SSI enjoys the unique advantage of ample office space coupled with two stories of Hangar space.  The open concept lab on the bottom floor gives us over 3000 square feet of floor space with 23 feet of clearance for large scale assembly, staging and testing.  In this area we maintain:

- 0-500 PSI Pressure Vessel (14” Diameter, 20” Depth)
- 0-5000 PSI Pressure Vessel (4.25” Diameter, 5’ Depth)
- 3x3x3, 27 Cu. Ft. Environmental Test Chamber   (-68C to +177C, -92F to +350F)
- Shallow Depth Acoustic tank for low power receiving measurements
- Fork Lift
- Wood Shop
- Potting and Fiberglass Encasing Room

On the second level there is a 2000 square foot electronics lab.  Equipment located in this area include our digital oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and linear dc power supplies.  Capabilities include PCB construction and prototyping, soldering, electronics board prototype development, testing and diagnostics as well as small scale assembly. 

Our lab configuration gives SSI the added benefit of in-house environmental spec testing.  This enables us to monitor results in real time, thus allowing our engineers to respond efficiently.  The ability to simulate potential field conditions at our own location only enhances SSI’s overall ability to meet customer requirements.
